Malbec is the fastest growing variety in the global market right now and once you taste this I think you might agree. 15. Ash Ridge Cabernet Merlot 2007 – This we restrict to a maximum of 6 bottle per person it is that good, and there is only 120 bottles in all of Asia. Again this wine blew me away last year and along with its sister the Sav Blanc the best wines I tasted in 2009. With big well structure fruit accompanied by well integrated tannins this wine will live for 20 years but also give great drinking at any time over that distance. A real tip of the hat to great wine making.
